I have never relied on one paycheck. Since my student years there has always been something on the side.
How it started
As a student I did design, video editing and animation for paying clients. After graduating, while working a full-time government job, I took on social media marketing clients. Some months the side work earned more than the day job.
What it taught me
- Skills are an asset that compounds, just like money.
- A second income turns a tight budget into a savings machine.
- If you keep living on your main salary, every side dollar can be saved or invested.
Today
Today my side income comes from digital products — practical templates I build myself — and you can find them on this site. The rule has not changed: live on less than one income, and let the extra build freedom.
